| The Dam has Broken On The John Edwards Affair Posted: 12 Aug 2008 11:50 AM CDT Now that the mainstream media has been forced into their mea culpas, the damn has broken and there is a flood of news coming out about the John Edwards, Rielle Hunter affair that the National Enquirer broke wide open. Seems the MSM was caught red handed in ignoring the story and they are trying to make up for it now by overloading the news reports with Edwards news. All previous pieces on this written here at WUA will be listed at the bottom for those that need to catch up, but today we see that a friend of Rielle Hunter, Edwards' mistress, is stating that she believes the "love child" really is his.
Hardly proof, but since Hunter conveniently is refusing DNA tests, people that know her and knew of the affair are what will be seen until they come clean, which Edwards did not do in his so called confession. Also in today's news, it is shown that John Edwards brought his mistress on his presidential campaign tour with him, but not his wife. ![]()
That is either very brave or very stupid... I vote for the latter. DailyKos seems to be showing his maturity or lack thereof by refusing to un-ban the writer he banned because the he dared to write the truth about Edwards before the dam broke in the MSM. Guess he still cannot admit when he is wrong....no big surprise there. Now I think I know why I'm still banned. It's not just that I got the Edwards story right. More significantly, Markos got this story totally wrong and his wrongness set the tone over at Daily Kos for everyone who attacked me and who continue to attack me to this day. Lies, cover-ups, lies to cover up the lies and lies while supposedly coming clean on the previous lies. All just a couple of weeks before the Democratic convention.... now that is timing. | Health Benefits Of Masturbation Are Universal Posted: 12 Aug 2008 11:47 AM CDT Whether you are a man or a woman, a liberal or a conservative, politics do not matter when it comes to the health benefits of masturbation. It is the source of the article that brings that into play. The FOXSexpert at Fox News. As was mentioned when the link was sent to me, Fox News is generally thought of having a readership of "mostly conservative and/or Christian", yet, it is Fox that brings us the word that despite old wives tales that once claimed masturbation was bad for a person's health, the opposite is actually true. Some of the old myths are being debunked. The claim that masturbation could lead to insanity, hysteria, blindness, hairy palms, acne, warts, hysteria and a slew of other negative health conditions, is outdated and properly put into the category of "old wives tales". There are health benefits to women who pleasure themselves and for men who find their best girlfriend really is their own hand. In 2007 there was an article that was summarized in Sexual and Relationship Therapy which showed that the health benefits of men "stroking their bloke", are improving the immune system's functioning, building up a resistance to prostate gland infections, helping to create a healthier prostrate and lowering a man's risk of developing prostate cancer. A survey of men found the more frequently a man masturbates between the ages of 20 and 50, the less likely they are to get prostate cancer. In fact, those who masturbated more than five times a week were one-third less likely to develop prostate cancer. For women that like to "dance in the bushes" alone, there are also some health benefits, such as building a resistance to yeast infections, fighting off pre-menstrual tension and other conditions associated with their period, like cramps, increasing blood flow to the pelvic region which relieves painful menstruation, reducing pelvic cramping and related backaches, helping to relieve chronic back pain and increasing the threshold for pain. Then there are universal benefits for men and women that enjoy a little "alone time with themselves" which are: Masturbation rewards both men and women because it's: There are more mental and physical benefits listed and the article was written by Dr. Yvonne Kristín Fulbright is a sex educator, relationship expert, columnist and founder of Sexuality Source Inc. She is the author of several books including, "Touch Me There! A Hands-On Guide to Your Orgasmic Hot Spots." Ladies and gentlemen, it doesn't matter if you are male or female, religious or not religious, liberal or conservative, homosexual or heterosexual, the health benefits of "floating your own boat" are universal according to Dr. Fulbright. Have you had your orgasm today? . |
| Nancy Pelosi Backed Into A Corner On Offshore Drilling Posted: 12 Aug 2008 10:38 AM CDT Remember just a couple weeks ago when Nancy Pelosi absolutely refused to consider offshore drilling? Well after irresponsibly going on a five week vacation without allowing an energy package that included drilling to come up for a vote, and the Republicans stayed behind in chambers to protest and demand a vote and now that polls are showing an overwhelmingly majority of Americans, siding with Republicans, want offshore drilling as part of a larger package.....well well well, looks like Pelosi backed herself into a corner here and now, all of a sudden, she is willing to consider it? As part of a larger package....just as Republicans had demanded all along. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Monday night dropped her staunch opposition to a vote on offshore oil drilling in the House. This is something she indicated before, then changed her fickle mind about and now she is mouthing the words again, but words are not enough.... people need to continue to pound the point home and let her know that her inaction, her refusal to allow a vote that included lifting the congressional ban on offshore drilling and then going away on vacation without addressing the gas prices, was unacceptable. Then again, maybe she just realizes that when the ban expires, she doesn't have the votes to re-issue it. . |

| Seven Reasons For Barack Obama To Worry Posted: 11 Aug 2008 03:59 PM CDT Interesting piece from The Politico entitled "7 worrisome signs for Obama". The seven things listed are; race, Obama's strength in Virginia may be overhyped, Michigan's in play for McCain, Bad times could be good for McCain, Where have you gone, Ross Perot?, The Legacy of LBJ, Jimmy and Bubba, and Americans may want divided government. It doesn't help that the article produces quotes from an Obama supporter, Bob Kerrey, is saying, "John McCain is a known quantity. You don't look at John and say, 'Who the heck is he?'. He's a veteran, he's a guy who got pretty banged up in Vietnam. He can deal with crisis. There's some uncertainty about Senator Obama." Kerrey goes on to add, "The country's still pretty divided … people may want a divided government. They want change, but I'm not sure that the Democratic agenda has the support of a majority of Americans." With Obama supporters making such statements, it is any wonder that John McCain has risen to have more public trust on 9 out of 14 key electoral issues and that the race is neck and neck? Kerrey is right, but it is not something you expect to see an Obama supporter to acknowledge publicly. Are some of the more moderate Obama supporters starting to wonder if voting to put an inexperienced man, like Obama, in the position of president something to worry about? Just saying.... [Update] Another statement from yet another Democratic politician about John McCain, via Commentary: "He's a very good legislator from my point of view, because when he gets onto something, he doesn't just want to introduce a bill, he likes to move it. And he's fearless," Feingold said of McCain, who once called the Wisconsin Democrat a "philosophical soul mate" on reform issues. (The two partnered on several other bills in addition to campaign finance.) "People couldn't believe how long we stayed on McCain-Feingold. . . . We'd come to those press conferences (year after year) and you guys would laugh at us, I mean, literally," said Feingold, grinning. "He's a great guy to fight an uphill battle with legislatively. He keeps his word. . . . I probably shouldn't be saying this stuff, but to be honest about it, it was one of the better professional experiences I've ever had in my life," Feingold said. Last but not least, Hot Air provides video of a "show stopper" question that stumps Obama supporters regarding what has Obama done to show he can work across the aisle. Matthews himself called the question, "What has he done?", a show-stopper. No one could point to a single effective action he has taken to cross the aisle, while everyone acknowledged that John McCain has taken actual risks to do so. David Brooks tells the room that Republican Senators and staffers insist that Hillary Clinton works across the aisle and keeps communication open, but Obama has never bothered to do that, and both Democrats and Republicans on the Hill agree on his arrogance. Go to Hot Air, linked above, to see the video. I would probably be able to come up with a few additional reasons why Obama and his supporters should be worried right about now. . |
| Did John Edwards Tell The Truth During His Confession? Posted: 11 Aug 2008 03:16 PM CDT After John Edwards went on television with his confession that the National Enquirer was correct in their reporting he had an affair with Rielle Hunter, he denied that the affair started before he hired her and paid her $114,000. Huffington Post immediate reported that they had seen emails that showed that Edwards was possibly still telling lies about the relationship, claiming those emails from Hunter to a friend showed that the affair started before Edwards hired Hunter. Now ABC produces the friend those emails were sent to by Hunter. But that version of events is now being challenged by a one time close friend of Hunter's, Pidgeon O'Brien. Edwards still denies being Hunter's baby's father, but since he lied for months on end abut the affair, then lied as he was supposedly "coming clean", who would really believe him at this point? Side note. Wolfson claims that the Edwards Cover-up cost Clinton the Democratic nomination. | More Barack Obama Lies Exposed About Born Alive Infants Protection Act Posted: 11 Aug 2008 02:36 PM CDT Caught red handed, re: Jill Stanek:
National Right To Life exposes Barack Obama's lies and his attempt to at a cover-up:
Stanek takes you through the whole issue from beginning to end, so go read her whole piece, she has been a great resource on the issue of the Born-Alive Infants Protection. Barack Obama believes as his votes show, that a baby that survives an abortion attempt, is outside the womb, is not considered a person and not entitled to medical treatment. Lets be clear here... Obama voted against protecting a baby that was born alive after a failed abortion attempt. Hot Air puts this well: Clearly, Obama lied about his position. It's no small rhetorical matter, either. His vote puts him on the extreme of the pro-abortion camp, so extreme in fact that not a single member of Congress would follow his example. Obama voted to allow Christ Hospital and other facilities performing abortions to allow live children to die. That is infanticide. Busted, not only on his lies, but his attempt to cover them up. | Recent Possible Sighting Of Madeleine McCann Being Investigated Posted: 11 Aug 2008 02:21 PM CDT ![]() Madeleine McCann went missing on May 3, 2007 from a resort of Praia da Luz in the Algarve, Portugal, just days before she was to turn 4 years old. She is still missing but a recent sighting has investigators delving into the case once again. CCTV shows the grainy image that cameras caught of the woman and child that rose the suspicions of the security guard and the U.S. is set to mark it as a high priority to enhance the image to determine if it is Madeleine. Madeleine's parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, have also been shown the photo to see if they recognized the child as their daughter. The security guard is said to "convinced" that the child he saw was the missing little girl and according to an unnamed source, via The Sun, "The guard thought something weird was going on and noted the time. When he saw a photo of Maddie next day, he was sure it was her and called the police." The report says that there have been "107 reports linking Madeleine with Belgium and Holland." . |
| Internet and Technology Changing Olympics: NBC Cries Over Web Leaks, China Fakes Fireworks Posted: 11 Aug 2008 01:27 PM CDT New technology and the Internet mean new challenges, and this year's Olympic Games are are perfect example of how times are a changin'; NBC is now having trouble keeping exclusive video off the Internet and the Chinese are outright faking it. As expected, NBC (who paid $894 million for the broadcast rights to the Games) panicked over losing their audience to the Internet and started sending frenzied requests to other sites to have content pulled. Their attempts to do so were described as "frantic requests to Web sites, asking them to take down the illicit clips and restrict authorized video to host countries." While they did this, Internet users taking advantage of technological advances proceeded to play the "whack-a-mole" game with NBC to get their news and footage about the Olympics when they wanted it, and not when NBC wanted to broadcast it 12 hours later. As The Ledger reports: As dancers and acrobats whisked across the National Stadium in Beijing, anonymous users uploaded more than 100 video clips of the ceremony to YouTube, but the site, owned by Google, swiftly removed as many as it could. Similarly, some live video streams on Justin.tv, a popular source for international video, were also removed. According to International Olympic Committee guidelines, the television networks with the local rights to the Games are the only legal sources of video in each country. The quality wasn't as good as it NBC's, but in this day and age, people are able to stay one step ahead of the network. Lorie Johnson, an information technology worker in Little Rock, Arkansas, watched the torch lighting from her desk at work instead of waiting on NBC's coverage. Johnson then sent out an email asking: "In the age of Internet (almost) anywhere, why be tied to a TV?". She continued by saying television networks "no longer have the same viewer monopoly they had 30 years ago [and] why don't they see that?" Faked Olympic Footage? In addition to NBC's problems of losing its audience to the Web, technology has created another scenario that viewers may find surprising: Faked footage. The Telegraph reports that 29 footprints in the opening ceremony fireworks display were digitally created. The Telegraph say some of those "footprints" were done using "computer graphics, meticulously created over a period of months and inserted into the coverage electronically at exactly the right moment." They maintain the fireworks were real and YouTube video footage proves that to be the case, but The Telegraph points to a report in a local Chinese newspaper, the Beijing Times, that asserts only the last of the footprint fireworks display was actually captured on film from a camera at the Bird's Nest National Stadium, and the rest was technologically inserted. According to the head of the visual effects team for the ceremony, Gao Xiaolong, it took almost a year to create the 55-second sequence, making it unnoticeable by creating the hazy effects of smog in Beijing at night and special attention to details such as imitating the shaking effect of being filmed from a helicopter. He says officials had to resort to digital fireworks because it would have been too difficult to position a helicopter at the right angle to capture the first 28 "footprints" during the fireworks show. So while the event did happen, people watching certain footage on TV would actually have seen some real and some faked fireworks. As the Telegraph reports: One advisor to the Beijing Olympic Committee (BOCOG) defended the decision to use make-believe to impress the viewer. "It would have been prohibitive to have tried to film it live," he said. "We could not put the helicopter pilot at risk by making him try to follow the firework route." If the Chinese could seamlessly fake part of the fireworks display, perhaps its not unreasonable to at least ask what else was faked? |
